Altaf Hussain’s Letter to Tony Blair

A copy of the letter written in 2001 by MQM’s chief and founder, Altaf Hussain, to Tony Blair, the then Prime Minister of United Kingdom. In this letter, Altaf Hussain offers to provide on ground human intelligence. He also offers to send his men for intelligence purposes to Afghanistan in the form of humanitarian workers.
In return, he demands for shares in government including employment for MQM's loyalists in police and army. One of his demands along with being brought to power, is to disband the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) of Pakistan.
Here is a copy of the letter. (Click on the letter to view its large size)

  1. The letter was sent just a few weeks after 9/11! Alot of water has passed under the bridge since then! The MQM is still a quasi-fascist party but it has probably become more 'pragmatic' since then! Dont remember the context but didnt Altaf recently requested DG ISI for help?
